The 27th Annual Taylorsville Apple Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 9:00am - 5:00pm Rain or Shine! There will be over 420 booths hosting a variety of foods, crafts, novelty vendors, and exhibits. Make sure to go to the BB&T parking lot at 12:00 - "high noon" to see the Cowboy Up Mechanical Bull Challenge between one of our own principals and the county commissioners. Who is the best COWBOY IN TOWN – come out to see? Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman will award a trophy to the one who masters the bull. Come early so you can vote for who you think will win – you could just win a prize yourself. Other contests include: The Apple Dessert Contest, The Apple Peeling Contest and just for the kids; The Kids Candy Apple Art Contest. Three entertainment stages will be set-up; the main stage, the gospel stage, and the kids’ stage. The Apple Festival provides a Kids Korner with activities for children. Don't forget to stop by the Car, Truck, and Bike Show or hop on and ride the Little Blue Choo. Hayrides will also be provided by ACHS FFA. Please come out and support the 27th Annual Taylorsville Apple Festival where all of the proceeds above operating costs go to support the Needy Children's Benevolence Fund for Alexander County Schools.

  • Custodian Appreciation - #Todayismyday

"In appreciation for all you do every day to keep our buildings and grounds clean, I wanted to say thank you and to let you know how much I appreciate you and the job you do for our students and staff. A clean building speaks volumes to the general public and visitors about what goes on inside of that building. Thank you for playing such an important role in our system and for the many ways you promote our educational programs!" - Dr. Jennifer Hefner
